Aldo Landi

Aldo Londi (1911-2003)

Aldo Londi, a skilled artisan of ceramics, was the creative director of Bitossi Ceramiche for more than 50 years, beginning after the conclusion of World War II. From a young age, Londi acquired a thorough knowledge of ceramic production, which he brought to the firm.

His work became renowned for its Rimini Blu series (1955-1965) during the 1960s, which included more than 150 unique designs such as bowls, vases, jugs and figurines of animals. His ceramics were especially noted for their intense blue hue, as well as their abstract patterns and shapes.
