Description
1923 Germany 500 000 Mark, UNC
The 1923 Germany 500,000 Mark banknote, an iconic piece from the hyperinflation era, reflects the economic turmoil of the Weimar Republic. This note is printed in black and dark green over a complex background of wavy lines in green, grey, and lilac. Featuring the portrait of a man wearing a Jacobite cap on both sides, the design is intricate and historically significant. The serial numbers, printed in red, appear on the lower left and right, while the watermark is particularly interesting, displaying ``500M`` along with stars and a braided design, originally from the 500 Mark notes. The Reichsadler (Imperial Eagle) is prominently displayed on the reverse, with a green wavy-line underprint. This particular banknote is in UNC (Uncirculated) condition, preserving its original crispness, a perfect collector’s item symbolizing Germany’s struggle with inflation.
